"Very comfortable beds but lack of proper reception and we dont like having to get water from a point in the hall. Woukd rather have a kettle in the room. The service having breakfast was very poor having to wait 45 minutes for our food and having to ask as we were never kept updated."

"It was a couple - why did you ask me about a high chair? It had its own car park, why did you point me towards ‘street parking’? There may have been a ‘damp’ problem, because they had lots of ‘smelly plug-ins’, not good for ‘asthmatics’! "

"Our room in the square block (we’d seen the unnecessary negative reviews before we’d arrived) behind the pretty white main house, came as a very pleasant surprise. The room was newly furnished, to a high standard and spotlessly clean. Positive feedback….great for one night, but a little more storage or even a couple more wall hooks to pop coats and hang towels etc are needed. "Basic but functional. Looking rather tired. What I found irksome was a £20 penalty charge for early check in at 1.30pm, even though rooms were available! So I filled up with fuel and had a coffee until after 3pm when there is no charge."

"We got a triple room that was clean and was quiet. The mattresses are maybe due for renewal, springs were a bit noisy and mattress was thin, But still managed to sleep so no major dramas. The full English breakfast was absolutely stunning. Worth noting that the bar is not available out of hours. "

"Nice hotel. Room very clean, very basic furniture. Very small room and bathroom but ok for one night stay on my own. Not sure it’s big enough for a couple with suitcases as nowhere to put them at all. Literally a walkway round the bed but no extra room front or sides. "

"Lovely stay as always, but the new electronic system needs looking at, paying for your food before it arrives at your table isn't the best way to go, especially if the food turns out to not be right. Also the doors in the public areas need a good wash down and painting, breeding ground for germs"

Good night sleep

"Arrived late but still got to use the pool, which was cold, steam room good sauna not much heat. Room nice, great big bed, nice layout, like having a shower and bath available. No milk on tray also only one English Breakfast t-bag. The parking price is too high (£20) and should be shown prior to booking, I couldn't afford this and had to make other arrangements.Central located, near the station. Overall will deffo stay their again and this time we need 2 welcome drinks as we didn't get them this time. "
