"The hotel is very attractive and in a good setting convenient for the motorway network. The rooms are nice . The staff could have been a bit more friendly we found them quite formal. We received conflicting information about the cost and availability of some services. For example, some of us were told that there was no facility to store luggage, others had their luggage stored without a problem. "

"We had probably the worst bedroom with no views over the garden, but immediately over noisy bin storage. Shower over bath with no safety handles. Dangerous."

"The queen bed was made from 2 twin mattresses which were rather stiff. Our sleep wasn't the best. The shower had some mold on the caulking. The food and service in their restaurant was excellent. Also, the staff was very friendly. Walking to Highclere Castle, even though fairly close, is not recommended. "

We went for a stroll around the village, when we came back the bar was busy but everyone there was enjoying the evening, We felt really lucky to have the huge lounge to ourselves, Our room was perfect 👌 gorgeous big bed and a role top bath just set it all of nicely, Breakfast was amazing!!
