The room felt quite dated, and we wore ear plugs at night due to traffic noise, but for a no frills, central stay this place does the job. "

"Not the place issue, but there was construction next door so it was noisy during the day. But if you are there to be a tourist, it doesn’t affect you too much as you are not there during the day. Family of 4 (2 teenagers), so good to have the separate rooms for everyone to have personal space. Easy to navigate to public transport.. "

"I will only stay at One Dutch when I visit FiDi from now on. Ive been to many oher hotels in FiDi and this is the best for the size and comfort of the room. My room at One Dutch was about 3x the size of a normal NYC hotel room plus extremely clean and modern. If you are needing a hotel for a longer stay in FiDi, this is the one you want."

However the hotel is excellent if you're going alone or just with another friend. I can't recommend it enough. "We enjoyed our stay at this property, especially being so close to the subway and nearby bodegas. One thing, one of the mattresses was rock solid — the owners should invest in at least a mattress topper. The water in the shower gets extremely nice and hot, and the other tenants were very friendly. Another weird thing, “an exterminator” came in the morning during one of the days we stayed around 9am, and tried to barge in and “exterminate”. That was uncomfortable, and he had a key. "What a gem! I was nervous about the virtual front desk but it worked out wonderfully. They allowed me to check in early which was a blessing on a cold January day! The room was compact but well put together. Great to have a fridge, tea, microwave and sound machine. I was able to make the room nice and warm during the day and cool at night to sleep. Also - the sheets smelled wonderful. My only suggestion is to allow the shower water to get hotter. Five stars!!"

"I want to commend The Sanctuary NYC for their hospitality. Five stars all around. The apt we stayed in was very spacious for 6 people, included enough bedding and living space for all. Kitchen was clean and well equipped with all necessities. Bathroom clean and staff was always available to refresh your towels and linens if asked. "Great hotel and very friendly staff! Krystal at the desk near the reception was amazing, very easy to talk to and helpful in getting me setup with my room and stay. Highly recommend this hotel and the amazing staff! The bars are good too especially the one downstairs! Angel makes a great drink check it out"

"What a gem! Took granddaughter to NYC for her 10th bday and this was the perfect place to stay. It had been 25 Myers since I was in NY and remembered the tiny rms with barely room to walk between the beds. The rooms here were spacious, comfortable and came with fridge and microwave. Housekeeping staff wanted to please and the front desk had answers for all our questions. Definitely will stay here again1"
