"We had a wonderful experience whilst staying at the Penaeldroch Manor. Mike and Carie were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The apartment was clean and spacious and had wonderful views of the river Lledr. The locally sourced morning breakfast was fantastic and set up for the rest of the day. "Absolutely lovely place! Stayed here last minute due to change in plans. Hosts were so attentive! In my 30s, this isn’t a place I’d normally stay if I’m honest, but wouldn’t hesitate to come back! "A great hotel with an excellent breakfast, it's the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the mountains/nature in the area. The bar and restaurant below are great as well especially in winter. The room was very clean, quiet and well stocked. "Room was clean, staff were friendly, food was decent. My supply of coffee was topped up with extra sachets when the staff saw that I'd bought my own jar of coffee after I ran out. The atmosphere of the hotel is pleasant and cosy. The hotel is a short walk from the town centre, which makes it cheaper than more central places - but if you can't stand a five-minute walk, what are you doing in Betws-y-Coed? :)"

"The staff were great and room 22 was perfect with a large bed and plenty of space. We ate at the hotel on our second night and the food was tasty and sufficient. However one meal came out cold and had to be reheated. Our waitress did give us a discount for this. On our last morning there was no water, but not the hotel’s fault as a main had burst. Overall a very nice experience."

"Lovley old original property, our room had a nice view of the castle. Dinner was superb but we couldn’t reccomend the breakfast , The buffet ran out completely ( orange juice toast etc ) and wasn’t replenished for over half an hour in spite of us asking . We waited over an hour for our cooked breakfast to arrive . When it did arrive there was one rasher of bacon, one sausage, half a mushroom and one fried egg. I’m not a greedy person but it didn’t seem like a lot for £15. After waiting so long...
