"While this doesn't have the 'historical' appeal of some other hotels in the area, it is clean, bright, spacious, with amenities that make the stay easy and enjoyable (e.g., air conditioning, front desk, restaurant). It is also right in the middle of Newmarket, so convenient to everything. Staff is friendly and helpful. Very good value for the price."

"Lovely hotel. Room basic but clean. Shower was very nice. Parking was good but itbwas a sunday night. Spent time in the bar area sunday evening service was friendly and helpful BUT one gripe is that they could not provide any non alcoholic wine cider or lager. i was stuck with fizzy drinks and soft drinks. The barman allowed me to bring a glass of my own non alcoholic wine and said it was something he would raise with his manager. Some choose not to drink alcohol othwrs like myself am...

"Run down desperately needs a refurbishment, paint work in rooms poor, but sheets clean and beds comfy. Some tlc needed I think, breakfast was excellent 10 out of 10 "

"Found the room was a bit smelly on first entering it, as if someone had been smoking in the room before. Slept well. Parking was an issue as no spaces were available on arrival at the hotel, so I had to pay for parking on a nearby road/street. "

"Very pleasant stay. Very large, recently refurbished (I think) room. Shower pressure was a bit low and there could do with more (non-electric) parking spaces. Disappointing that the spa/swimming pool was closed - this wasn’t made clear at the time of booking."
