"This hotel would have received 5/5 had the first customer experience at check-in was annoying especially at a 5 star hotel which was selected purely for the customer experience one would expect. At reception both members of staff were serving a customer. My son and I stood partially behind both people to approach the first available member of staff. A couple approached the front desk and stood next to my son as soon as the staff member behind the desk was free they approached her in the meantime another gentleman stood behind them to be served. Instead of acknowledging that we had been waiting in the queue the staff member not only served the couple but also the gentleman behind them before acknowledging us with no apology. Absolutely appalling and not a good first impression."

"After 12 nights here and as a 40+ yr old Solo western female I can honestly say that this hotel and irs super staff could not hace done anything more to make me feel comfortable and extremely welcome. W Hotels offers in house events and a music / design aesthetic which was so pleasing making staff feel great to be working there. I had some brilliant conversations with staff of all ranking and ages who really gave super service throughout. The pool / gardens area is very beautiful, safe for kids and extensive, the public beach access is direct onto a very popular friendly beach. A huge variety of eats available around the hotel in a very nice part of Muscat next to Opera House and the quality of food available at the hotel restaurants was in my experience very pleasing. I fell in love with Oman and the staff/ hotel have made it very easy to return. "
