"I surprised my fiancè with a birthday trip to Portland. A few days before, I called and asked the hotel if they could hang a birthday banner and some balloons in our room if I had the decorations shipped there. Rebekah and Roman at the front desk were more than accommodating! When we got up to our room, it was decorated beautifully and really added something special to our trip. We have stayed here once before and cannot recommend this hotel enough. Perfect location, extremely comfortable rooms and bedding and just an overall great experience!"

"The Inn on Mount Desert is an older property very close to downtown with ample free parking. Leave your car there and walk. The free breakfasts are amazing; two options every morning such as an omelet, bluberry pancakes or blueberry waffles, with ham, sausage, etc. Plus the usual bagels, muffins always available, coffee always available, and so on. The rooms are plain but large with ample closet space. Everything well maintained and very clean."
