"The room was very comfortable, but slight signs of aging. Paint flaking on the walls, and a stain in the headboard. But these are minor to the comfortable bed and quality of the room. The staff were excellent. I watched a young lad in the restaurant, who was looking after a lady with mobility issues. He did everything for her he could to help her and she never had to lift a finger. He came over to my table and was so pleasant, he and the other breakfast staff were a credit to the the hotel. Thanks for making my stay so pleasant."

"Our stay here was overall excellent, rooms clean and comfortable, outside areas very good weather permitting, bar and restaurant very good and reasonably priced. Excellent location for visiting Chester and of course the Zoo. "

"The hotel is situated within easy walking distance of city centre shops, the cathedral and Chester racecourse. All the hotel staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The bedroom had everything required including coffee and tea making facilities. The restaurant offered a good breakfast and a good selection of meals for dinner. We also enjoyed a bit of time in the swimming pool. Excellent."
