"This small hotel is perfect in every way. The room was surprisingly spacious relative to Japanese rooms, and the fall foliage from our balcony was lovely. "My second stay here. Manager upgraded me to panoramic view. Again, amazing Michelin star restaurant reservations for lunch and dinner. Early and fast check-in (less than a minute), super clean, modern, classy. Great space. Staff did some grocery shopping for me as I had a tight schedule. They also booked my Shinkansen tickets and driver for half day. Washer-dryer in suite, Maru was too kind to run it while I was away. Beautiful!"

"We are a family of 4 and we booked 2 rooms. The service was incredible from start to finish. Aya and Rodrigo go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. There was also a young Japanese man, I forgot his name. He was the sweetest person you will ever meet. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The neighborhood is very quiet and a little bit away from the city, but there are places to eat within walking distance. I would stay here again if we ever came back to Kyoto!"

"Bed was comfy, things were clean and it was close to a train station, grocery store, park and restaurants. The bar was closed for the four nights we were there. The room was not cleaned or restocked with coffee or clean cups while we were there as the front desk is only staffed from 3-8pm. The staff was very friendly and polite. "

"Overall I loved my stay here! It made my visit to Kyoto so memorable and added to how much I loved the city. I cannot comment on the breakfast as none of it is gluten free but I hear it is wonderful. It was in a good place close to the trains, about a 7 min walk. I loved my stay here I just wish the pillows were softer as they are really firm but otherwise it was perfect!"
