The Castle Hotel is the perfect village location but close to local Amenities and short distance from major route link's. All the room's are upstairs, Clean, tidy and very modern victorian in design. "The staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The beautiful grounds were perfect for pleasant walks. The bus to shopping area and rail station was right across the road. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and rhe food was excellent. There was a lovely lounge for resting and enjoying a quiet drink. We stayed three weeks and enjoyed our stay immensely. "The hotel was homey, and had a cool lobby & garden pub that felt like a local hangout. So it felt like we were locals and not visitors from the US. Best part of the location was how close it really is to the train station! 1/4 block which made getting around London super convenient. It's located in a "suburb" so more like a fun neighborhood & coming home than a hotel. Definitely recommend for amenities, vibe, location & Vale to price. . "

"I would very rarely rate hotels 10 out of 10 but this was so close that I couldn't not give it full marks. The room was brilliant and the mattress and pillows in particular were the best I've had in ages. Breakfast was also good and the pub was an amazing bonus to have underneath. By the time I went to bed the pub was really quiet so I had no noise issues."

"All 6 night we had a good experience besides couples of things: There wasn't enough shampoo and soap for the 6 nights stay; Room was very dusty and no cleaning/vacuum were done with our stay for 6 nights, as well area upfront of the main entrance had debris all around; If these things can be corrected, then ratings can be raised up. "
