"Really relaxing stay - the hotel is in a stunning Glen on the edge of the Caingorms with spectacular scenery. The staff were really helpful (all of them) and my evening dinner was great. I regret not staying for longer, but will be back. Only negative (but may be a positive) was the lack of a phone signal - although the wifi was great."

"We stayed here for 5 nights and were greeted by a lovely card with details of local events. Communication was excellent and the hosts were lovely local people, we had easy access if we required any assistance. Access to the property was simple as was parking. This gorgeous little two bedroom apartment had everything we needed for our stay, it felt like home rather than a hotel. "Could not recommend this accommodation enough - a real hidden gem! Massive, secure 2 bedroom apartment in a wider bunkhouse complex which was, when we stayed, not occupied. Only 5 mins drive from Kirriemuir and so quiet and peaceful - in the heart of the countryside. Comms were great and all mod cons throughout including WiFi, TVs in all rooms and even a starter hamper! Will definitely book again. The dog loved the outdoor space which is literally ‘on your doorstep’! A+"

"Loved everything about the property. Staff were amazing , they were welcoming, warm, friendly and made every effort to make your stay a positive experience. The room we occupied was spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty draw space to put your clothes into, but no hanging space. That said with the angles of the walls and the eaves of the room meant there was no place to actually fit a wardrobe for this purpose, so without major renovation to the room, this was beyond the hotels control. The only other minor point is that there was no toilet brush in the bathroom, but this by no means had any impact on our stay !"

Beautiful, brilliant amd just the best!

"What an amazing place! We only stayed for a single night sadly however Graham and Karen went out of their way to look after us and could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Their guest house is beautifully decorated with original features in abundance mixed with contemporary touches - warm, comfortable and intimate. Our room was huge and had an incredible four-poster bed and bathroom with large jacuzzi bath. Everything was spotlessly clean and in perfect order, obviously fastidiously looked after. We dined there in the evening too and had the most fantastic meal; we're no strangers to good food and what we were served we'd have been delighted to receive in a high-end restaurant - thank you Karen! Breakfast was similarly delicious with a great choice of dishes, with those we chose cooked to perfection. Graham went over and above in showing us around the property and explaining the history of it, then preparing a detailed suggestion of a route around the countryside to see some of the best sights, even printing out a map and illustrating it for us. We truly felt like important guests and they were theoat impeccable hosts. Thanks again, and we will be definitely be back!"

Great dog friendly hotel

"Great dog friendly hotel. Very comfortable and food was excellent. Large portions, very reasonable priced. Staff very friendly and efficient. Had never taken our 8 year old dog to a hotel before and wasn’t sure how well he would cope but the hotel is very heated up for dogs and our stay was very relaxed. "
