"A nice, clean and tidy hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The styling was classical and quite appealing. The hotel has free access to guests for the seperate men's and women's onsens. It also has a rather nice sitting room with a selection of books (in japanese) to read/flick through. Dormy Inn Nagano Zenkounoyu Natural Hot Spring

"The Dormy Inn in Nagano was an excellent value! The location is first rate - less than 10 minutes walking from Nagano Station. The Inn has wonderful amenities - an indoor/outdoor onsen. After onsen free ice cream snacks. A very tasty breakfast including Japanese and western cuisine - the quality and variety was great and the price was reasonable. They also have chilled apple juice during the day and made to order ramen in the evening. If you miss the ramen, they will give you a Cup-of-Noodles. The room was typical for Japanese hotel rooms but efficiently laid out. The location was on a quiet side street but had many restaurants and shops close by. Zenkoji temple is only 1.5K away (you can walk it) Staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again"

"Waited till my trip of Japan was over to write a review. This was by far the worst hotel we stayed in our whole 3 week stay in Japan. Not only was the hotel filthy, I was charged an extra 23,000 yen for my wife to stay in the room with me!!! This is after already being charged 24000 yen for a room barely worth 10,000. I then reached out to the hotel to ask if they could refund the last half as this was an unfair way to do business. They still have not responded. Honestly the worst experience in Japan period!!! Avoid this place. "
