"Beautiful property, the host will wait for you to check-in even if you encounter delays on your journey up to Kawaguchiko. The cottages were extremely clean and cozy, with a small soaking tub right outside of the bathroom. There are a few walkable Onsen nearby open late and there is a phenomenal Oden restaurant nearby open till 11pm."

"It was very fun to be so pampered and taken care of. As soon as we arrived, the staff were there ready to pamper us. One of the ladies spoke English, and was very helpful in navigating our first stay at a Ryokan. Dinner was very fun. The onsens were an exciting new experience as well. We thoroughly enjoyed it."

We had a traditional Japanese room and I slept so good on the bedding that my back felt great each morning. The area is beautiful and the host are knowledgeable about the sites visitors come to see. "We absolutely loved our stay at Cottage Yushin and would recommend that anyone staying at/around Lake Kawaguchi stay here as this side of the lake was very quiet and not nearly as crowded as the other side near Kawaguchi Station (the side where Mt Fuji is). "Nice hotel. Huge room. The bathroom was bigger than the other Japan hotels we stayed at. All the staff we interacted with were fantastic. A bit of a language barrier but they tried their best to communicate. We got a really good rate for two days, included breakfast. Just so no one is caught off guard as I was, this is an adult hotel. Not as in no minors, but as in a love hotel. If you’re not familiar (I was not) Google this first before booking so you know what you’re getting into. If that doesn’t bother you, it was a great stay for a great rate. The 7/11 is across the street for good snacks and actually good meals. Check out the sweets factory a few blocks behind the 7/11. The only down fall is, it’s a bit of a hike to and from the bus station. "
