"What's there to say about a hotel started in 1972? If you're looking for modern amenities, you won't find it here. If you're looking for a time capsule of Swahili culture, you will find it here. Rooms have AC, a 3 pools were excellent, ocean view was excellent as well.

"My boyfriend and I stayed at the Ziwa Beach resort from 20-24/4 2024 and it was the best! The rooms were Great; lots of room and air-con, a bathroom with hot water, a big bed with mosquito net, a large balcony and everything was very clean! Including the rest of the resort, there was nothing to put a finger on The pool was Nice, and the soroundings/decorations with all the plants, made you feel like you were in the jungle. The

"Hotellet (byggt på 70-talet) var i stort behov av renovering både utvändigt och invändigt. Servicen var långsam. Beställde man dricka till maten så hade man nästan ätit klart innan den kom in. Man fick vänta på madrasser och handdukar för solsängarna till klockan var närmare 10 AM. Bad i havet provade jag en gång och det fick räcka. Väldigt långgrunt och mycket sjögräs vilket man inte kan skylla hotellet för. Jag hade ett superior rum för 9000 KSH/natt och halvpension vilket var ganska ok. men...

"Lovely setting - nice touch having flowers on the bed and turn down service. The units all look inwards to the pool which was used regularly by us. At night the pool has lights and makes for a romantic swim. There was no jug to make tea or coffee or facilities to cook yet there was a fry pan, pots and dishes. Even microwave would have been useful. The restaurant wan't operational - we would have used it.
