I wanted to stay in Piran but choose this hotel initially for two reasons: (a) it was walking distance along a promenade to Piran and offered free parking; and (b) it would be staying in a slice of history as the form of the hotel (though not the renovated interiors) harked back to the more brutalist days of the Yugoslav Republic. " Beautiful hotel, all rooms are facing the coast. Swimming pool with warm sea water is excellent. Parking is little bit outside of the hotel and might not have enough space. Walking distance to both Portoroz and Piran. The only complaint is no air conditioning in October. It is still warm during the day. Open windows work at night. "

"This is a small, unique hotel with wonderfully friendly staff and cute, small rooms with character. We only stayed one night, but had a nice stay and appreciated the hospitality. If you have a room on the 5th floor like we did, you’ll have to walk up one narrow, winding flight of stairs past the elevator limit of the 4th floor, so anyone with concerns about that should ensure they request a room on the 4th floor or below. The room was small but cute, and we thought the amenities were decent for the price. Overall, a good experience for a quick overnight stay before boarding a cruise—nothing fancy, but good nonetheless! "
