Beautiful luxurious hotel facing the harbour. Room had great sea view but huge cruise ships dock right in front of hotel so view partially obscured when ships are in. Room very clean but there were ugly stains on the carpet where someone had spilled something - carpet should have been professionally cleaned, seeing as this is a high-end hotel and stains were unsightly. Another negative for non-Europeans is the tub/shower combo - the controls for water in the tub are in the middle as opposed to the end in north America so if using tub to take a shower at the long end of the tub, you easily bump into the tub controls - got a few bruises as a result so you need to be careful. Tub also very slippery if you are showering and they should automatically supply a non-slip mat - this is an accident waiting to happen. Hotel very close to shopping and dining. Staff great. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choices. Valet parking is worth the expense because parking in the area is otherwise difficult. Would definitely stay here again.

My sister and I stayed at this beautiful hotel for three nights. This is an elegant and charming property. We particularly appreciated a friendly receptionist who took time and patience to rearrange our booking for 2 twin beds, which was somehow lost through the 3rd party booking. If you stay here, you must make time for happy hour in the beautiful lobby. If we return to Trieste, The Savoia will always be our first choice. Grazie mille!

Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. We were lucky that we were upgraded to the presidential suite as there were no other sea view rooms available. Breakfast has a great selection. A decent gym. Nice relaxed bar area.

They upgraded our room to a balcony ocean front view. So much fun to watch our ship arrive. The staff were very courteous and the room waa great! Next time I would stay a couple of nights to see the area. We did take a walk and there are lots of restaurants and ahops close by. The hotel is beautiful. Dinner at the hotel was very tasty with good service.

The hotel is in a lovely historic building on the waterfront. The room was very comfortable, convenient, very centrally located, with a seriously delicious and abundant continental breakfast. I arrived by train from Rome in the evening and decided to try to walk from the station to the hotel, but ended up getting lost. I called the Savoia and the night concierge, Ludivicio, called a taxi to collect me. I was so impressed! Trieste is a beautiful city and I had such a good time walking around, looking at the historic buildings and streets. There is also a large Eataly very close to the hotel.
