"It's important for travelers to know that this is not a typical hotel with a front desk, etc. It is 4 rooms off of a hallway on the second floor of a residential building. You must contact the owner (by phone) to arrange for a check in. We did not know this and it caused a lot of confusion/stress (we did not have a working cell phone while in Italy and could not find another means to contact them) but otherwise we had a good stay.
