"Hotel is clean and very well located for the station. Rooms are a good size. Pricing was competitive. But for 4 star status I'd expect more attention to detail. There should be bottled water in the rooms (this can be done sustainably), quality toiletries including body lotion (not from dispensers that barely work), better quality fresh ingredients at breakfast, some element of table service, key cards that worked on the lifts... added to which the extractor fan was constantly on and the bedroom...

"Location was great, room with sea views and very close to the lanes with shops, bars and restaurants. Hotel was a little tired around the edges and could benefit from a make over. "

"Had a really nice stay. The room was huge and out of the way which was nice. The floorboards upstairs were a bit noisy but it can't be helped. We has a nice private basement room and it was very modern. I feel they could leave more toilet roll and also restock the teabags every day but that's just me being fussy! Not worth any negativity :) Would definitely come back. Staff were lovely and very friendly too :) "

"Good value. Very central and within easy reach of all amenities. Mattress toppers annoying as 2 singles and slid apart! Apart from that might consider staying there again because of the great value for money."

"We knew the hotel was an older building having stayed before a few years ago but the location right on the seafront is almost unbeatable. Our room was a decent size but looked a bit tatty around the edges, the TV was useless and the cleanliness was ok, but not great. Most importantly the bed was comfortable, the pillows were decent and we slept well. Would we stay here again? For the right price probably yes, as you're only a 5 minute walk from the nicest parts of the city."

"Lovely friendly and kind staff throughout our stay. We chose a basic room which is what we had. It was a little tired but everything one needed was there. Our main complaint couldn’t be helped by the Hotel as it related to the noise outside of late night party revellers. We had a downstairs room right at the front of the Hotel. We stayed one night; if longer we would have considered asking to move.Food excellent."

The cleaner / maintenance young gentleman that greeted me at reception as I was early for check in, was absolutely wonderful, thoughtful, considerate and very friendly. "The check in was super easy, the hotel was clean and has a lovely view. We had Olly at the desk overnight who was very accommodating, super nice and was happy to help with anything we needed, I would very happily stay here again, I definitely reccomend!! "
