"Beautiful hotel, large rooms and high ceilings. Super clean and staff was helpful and attentive. The only drawback.was the lack of full restaurant service. The breakfast buffet was good but few hot items. The pastries were superbe. The bar has big comfy chairs and a lovely fireplace. The Xmas.market.was right outside the hotel and it was excellent. I would definitely stay at the Atlantic on a return visit. Highly recommend. "

"Nice hotel, a little old, however refurbished and rooms fully up to date. Hotel is in very nice area and you get 5 hours in the swimming pool with your room. Good breakfast - allthough scrambled eggs are standing from opening to closing - 4 hours. Restaurant could improve - food was ok, but ordered an Entrecote and got a flat ribeye - changed sides from french fries to patato salad, which according to the waiter was ok - but then - later with the bill a charge of 2 Eur for changing. "Every two weeks I travel to my property in Italy and Basle is the perfect midway point from Calais so to find the Carathotel in the perfect location just off the motorway with a large free car park is fantastic.Always friendly staff (even during Covid)large rooms with the very much appreciated bathtub.But as others have mentioned the breakfast choice and quality is my main reason for staying there. I think it offers incredible value for money also."
