"The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes"

"We had a fantastic stay at the Woodvale. The food was excellent and despite it being a very busy time (just a few days before Christmas so lots of big parties) we didn't wait too long for our meals. "OMG what a gem! I almost don’t want to share an opinion on the Villa Rothsay because I want to keep it for myself. Absolutely perfect in every way. But quirky and mysterious with amazing history. Our room was beautiful with seaview. We slept with the curtains open so as not to miss any waking moment. Margaret was welcoming and so knowledgeable. Breakfast was delicious. "I stayed at the Birdham in late January 2025. The room was very comfortable, the breakfast was particularly good - excellent menu, good cooked options, and delicious. I used the restaurant and bar on one evening, which again was excellent - good choices, delicious food, and a good atmosphere, it was used both by locals, and for business meetings. I would recommend the Birdham to anyone looking to stay in Bembridge or the Isle of Wight."
