"I once stayed in a traditional Japanese hotel. but this feels more like a hostel. The rooms are very small and so is the shared spaces. This place is good for solo travel or a quick night stay. The things I enjoyed the most was the comfortable mattresses and the ability to drop my luggage off in the morning. "

"The person checking us in was wonderful. The japamese style breakfast was beautiful and yummy. There were bicycles to rent on the property which we utilized to see Nt Fuji just around the cape. "This was one of my favorite hostel experiences ever. Makoto, Ana, and Karen are the nicest staff ever, we extended out stay multiple days because we met other amazing people staying at this hostel and became very familiar with Kamakura. Kamakura should be a multi-day trip and you should definitely stay at Iza Kamakura House if you want a really comfortable and laid back place to stay. "

"The staff were awesome. Really close to station, but was in a walkable area. The only negative is the capsule doors aren't very wide, but easy enough to deal with Another guest decided to do laundry at 1 am but thats not the properties fault. "

"The location of the hotel is amazing, you cannot be closer to the Great Buddha, it is also a good experience to sleep in an old Japanese room. That said, you then understand why old Japanese houses are not worth much and Japanese people tend to prefer living in some modern less exotic dwellings.
