The Bell At Skenfrith

5.0 star property

"High-end country pub with excellent restaurant, the perfect weekend get away slot. Lovely staff, good service and near to a real-life castle. Although I recommend avoiding the room with a bathroom upstairs - cool initially but ultimately annoying in the middle of the night."

"I had a nice stay, lovely scenery, breakfast and staff were brilliant. Manager Martin Haven an awful man and should never be working with people let alone in the hotel industry. Real shame. The hotel has a lot of potential with the right management. "

Hare Cottage

3.5 star property
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (2)
"My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hare cottage. We loved the welcome pack left by the hosts, as well as all the thoughtful touches throughout the property. It is cosy and homely but has everything you could possibly need. The hosts were extremely responsive and the location is perfect for exploring Abergavenny and the surrounding areas such as the Brecon Beacons. The views of the mountain from the back garden and upstairs bedroom were stunning. We will definitely be coming...

The Old Stable

3.0 star property
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (1)
"Lovely stay but couldn’t park the car next to the property until we were leaving. Not an issue if you can walk 400 yards which is where the car park is. Fully equipped kitchen but we ate from the local fish and chip shop which is open Wednesday to Saturday and the spice valley Indian via just eat app. Wonderful visit to the big pit and then the iron works nearby. Big pit is free and the iron works isn’t £7.30. Both great paces to visit nearby "
