"Small room. V basic as expected. Bed awful. No chair, very little flat surfaces to pop things on. Bathroom was glass walled. No privacy for using the loo other than a bit of frosting. TV unusable really due to position. No code for discount at the Qpark car park so had to pay full price £26. Excellent location. Excellent chap on reception. "

"Excellent hotel, first visit and will definitely be back. Clean, spacious room. Shower was fab, hand soap, shower gel etc in bathroom smells amazing. Room had 4 usb ports and plenty of sockets. Bed was a bit creaky but also very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, plentiful and very clean. Staff very friendly everywhere in the hotel and very helpful. "

"Interesting history of the building given in the welcome booklet in my room. Comfortable bed. Room was clean. Given the cold weather at the time of my stay, the room was nice and cosy and warm. "Stayed for one night. Would definitely stay again when in the area. Around half hour by car from York City Centre. Hotel room was a little tired but was clean and comfortable.
