"This old home with its history and antique period furnishings is very well managed. Staff always available to help. Breakfast provided was good variety buffet of local and Continental items. The history lesson both in and of the house and Melaka was worth the stay. Air conditioned rooms and comfortable beds. Easy walk to historical areas of Melaka."

"If only they can change the beddings that are obviously aged more than a decade or two, it would be a more pleasant stay because the management should know well that a good night’s sleep is the utmost priority to guests. All the facilities in this resort show signs of aging but you can feel that the maintenance team has worked tirelessly to make sure all the old items still function well - and yes they do, amazingly, especially the A/C. "This hotel is located in the center of jonker street. The staff are friendly. Private carpark at the back. Plenty of choices for food. I booked 3 adult, amd the room said king bed only. It is a bit misleading as we still need to pay for additional mattress. The room also with window but it is frosted and cannot be opened. Paints are peeling in many areas. No lift as well."

"Beautiful hotel very close to Jonker Street and great restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful, and room was clean and comfortable. Very nice remodel of shop houses and we would stay again. I rated it 4 stars as there are a couple of things to improve. Would be nice to have robes provided for use. We were put in a disabled persons’ room which wasn’t a problem except there’s a lack of surfaces in both the room and bathroom. No shower enclosure so water went everywhere. AC was stuck on cold...

"I overnight in this (ELMARK HOTEL MELAKA) for 2 nights. The second night was a nightmare to me. I'm so disappointed due to the electrical door lock spoilt, and i can't acess it. I have to wait more than 12 hours and there is no proper arrangements for me (my belongings are inside my room). The hotel staff told me about the master key with the hotel owner, and he is in another state now. I called the hotel owner, he didn't fix the issue on the spot..He asked me to wait him for another day to open...
