"I like how convenient the location of the hotel is and the cleaning lady was very friendly. However, there was extremely strong smell of disinfectant when I entered the room, and during my two-night stay I was bothered by the odor from the toilet. Moreover, there was a couple of stairs in front of the hotel door. "My go- to hotel in Shanghai- perfect location, 1 block from the famous Nanjing Rd, very upscale property, half block from metro line 2, direct to airport, luxurious rooms- everything is gold or bronze plated, but it works in a gaudy way. I’ve been coming here for years, and the room furniture and fixtures are showing wear. Otherwise, a great property. TIP: book a deluxe room, not much more but very large!"

"Stayed in many hotels during my 2 weeks around China and this was the only one with obvious "classical luxury" vibe from overall design to the small amenities. King sized bed and duvet were super comfortable. Amazing Bund view but be noted it's towards the North Bund, not the old Bund. Staff were efficient, I had a small issue with the bath tub and a technician arrived at my room door for fixing within a couple minutes. Staff at the lounge were kind and attentive. Good quality food and beverage....

"What an incredible stay! Location is perfect since it'a walking distance to the Gala mall with tons of food options, and the surrounding is so clean and quiet. Incredible attention to details, from top to bottom. We got the lounge access room and it was amazing. The buffect breakfast is so conprehensive that my teenage kids both love it.
