"First time staying at Mandarin Oriental in Shanghai, and what a great experience it was! Front desk staff, fast check in, consierge (forgot name of the Mr.) gave me all needed informations about the hotspots in city! Room, modern, clean and spacious with a nice view over the financial district and the river. Breakfast is diverse, Asian/European style. Gym area is superb, combined with 25m swimming pool, saunas, and massage facilities. Overall good value for the money! "

"This is a fantastic hotel! We flew in on a late flight and then it took us 2.5 hours to get through passport control and to find a taxi (which is a complete con game—download the DiDi app before you come). We didn’t arrive at the hotel until 2 AM and the staff here were so gracious and even gave us a late checkout. Breakfast is simply amazing and if you have children they will love it! "During the two nights we stayed there, every night about 20 or more influencers would show up along with their friends/assistants. They would have their pictures taken in the lobby, in the bar area with the Christmas tree, etc. They outnumbered guests who actually paid and stayed there. The hotel turned a blind eye to them. I find this experience very unpleasant and not compatible with the price we paid to stay there. "

"Fantastic hotel, within a small shopping mall area. Good breakfast with free take away coffee. Walkable to the metro which was super easy to use and zipped us to anywhere we needed to go quickly.
