"They were able to give me an early checkin but did not disclose that the cost would be higher. The room was okay, but the toilet had a problem and refilled the tank very noisily every few minutes. Coffee machine was broken, and they charged $4 for a cup of coffee in the lobby. Restaurant had limited hours."

"Property remains like new on the inside and is maintained and kept well. The walk from the parking garage over across the street can be challenging with full hands as key cards need to be scanned and are delayed in doors opening. Market staff was kind but they were challenged to keep up during peak times causing a long delay. Room was clean and stocked with a nice view of the river and bridges. "

"Really enjoyed our stay here.... I was going to give it 4 stars because the rooms are extremely extremely modern in décor and not my taste but that's not the hotels fault. Its close to the arts district so I understand. Staff was awesome and the refresh of the rooms on a daily basis was superb!!! Extremely clean and lobby bar has great beer/drinks and Starbucks in the main lobby was nice. Definitely recommend.. stayed 4 nights 5 days. "

"Bathroom vanity was very small, but it is an older landmark hotel. Mattress was extremely comfortable. Restaurant service and food was quite good."

"Since I’ve found the Expedia app I’ve been spending the extra couple bucks for a nicer room. Might be one of the nicer rooms I’ve stayed at in Portland. Except for my pillow, I liked it better than the Benson."

"The staff was friendly and the service was great. We also liked the breakfast. We had a hard time with the sofa bed which was uncomfortable and hard. Also some of the pillows were not in good condition. "

"It is far better than I could have expected. The renovations are very nice to look at and the combinations were more than expected. The full breakfast with everything I could hope for for a free breakfast and more instead of just a sleepy breakfast it's a full breakfast"

"The room didnt have a mini fridge which made my birthday plans more expensive and wasnt able to have cold drinks on hand, ice bucket was way too small for what i needed. Definitely put a damper on things but we made due. Besides that it was a beautiful room and was clean."
