"The management hadn’t checked Expedia because most of their bookings are currently through other sites so they weren’t ready for me. "スタッフがとても親切でした。立地もバルダール広場まで徒歩３分、ゴールデンテンプルまで徒歩30秒程で最高でした。なにより、部屋はもちろん、バスルームが大変広く、シャワー室もしっかりガラスで仕切られているので、便器が濡れてしまうようなことはありません。快適でした。階段が少し急ではありますが、荷物はスタッフが運んでくれました。部屋は日差しが入らないようにしているせいか、電気をつけても少し暗いですが、１日中ホテルにいなければほとんど気になりません。また泊まりたいです！！"

"I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It's a small guest house with about 9-10 rooms. It's all been refurbished to look like it might have 300 years ago. It's so beautiful and quaint. The location is central. Above all, the staff was very wonderful, super attentive, and very friendly. If you open up to them and befriend them, they treat you like royalty!!"

"Beautiful heritage property with lots of interesting quirks and fab decor. Loved that we had several dining options. Local craft markets within the grounds of the hotel was such a bonus. Staff were attentive though on one occasion one or two at reception could have done better. Overall very enjoyable stay and wish we could have experienced it for more than one night. Definitely recommend."

"Hotel booking websites often show a complete difference between the pictures and reality, but this hotel is just as clean and stylish as the pictures show. The towels, bed sheets, and bathroom are new and clean. The laundry machine is free to use, which is a big help. The internet is fast. The security was very secure and safe. And most importantly, the owner was very nice and helpful."

Newa Chen is absolutely delightful

"First time in Kathmandu, picked this for it's fabulous location in a vibrant artsy neighborhood near Patan Darbur Square as a friend was staying nearby. I am so very happy I picked this place. Wonderful historic place with a wing added that is more modern but in keeping with the original architecture, the room I booked was in the new section so the ceilings are high and the windows face over the courtyard to the original part of the hotel. The courtyard is delightful, providing a calm sanctuary from the bustling neighborhood around and we met the owner there one evening as he lit his offering - the original family live in a part of the old house. The bed was fantastically comfortable the bathroom super clean and fresh, the staff happily lugged my suitcase up and down from my room. I think it has something like ~ 14 of the 'Superior' rooms in the new section, so it's not a big place which means it is intimate and the desk and kitchen staff know who you are the minute you arrive - totally charming, Newa Chen will now be my go to preferred guest house in Kathmandu any time I'm here.. (and ..it's really close to the airport, so not too much sitting in crazy traffic to get here)."
