I do not speak French and I was very thankful that the Lady and the Gentleman of the house where able to communicate and bring us to our Room! The Room was clean and the bed was comfortable! The ambiance of the lake in front of the property was superb! We would stay there again 👍"

"We had booked a disabled access room. The hotel advertised a restaurant which would be open. We arrived half an hour before the check in time of 2.00pm. The receptionist asked us to wait. The Bar was closed so we sat in the car. At 2.00pm we went to check in to be told the lift was not working and we had a room on the first floor! Too many steps for me to cope with. "The hotel was hard to find, looked a little run down on the outside even though you could tell it must have had a glorious past situated centrally on the river bank. Right away this triggered my imagination and thoughts went to the Rocky Horror Show, The Adams Family etc. It was even hard to find the entrance, which I found refreshingly enjoyable. This was not a predictive cookie cutter Best Western, Novotel or similar bla-ha experience awaiting. My girlfriend and I found a possible entrance on...
