"This is the third time we have stayed at the Richard's House and each time has been better than the last. Quiet, clean, stunning interior and the innkeepers are knowledgeable about the history of the home and Dubuque IA. The breakfasts are cooked to perfection and always taste delicious! The fresh baked desserts are available all day! We will definitely come back for a fouth visit."

"This was a good hotel, but the walls were so thin that we had to listen to someone's loud 2:00 a.m. "festivities" which was gross. We also ended up staying during a soccer tournament and there were sooo many families taking up the lobby area that didn't seem to care that there were other people also staying at the hotel that weren't part of the tournament. Both of these things aren't things that the hotel can fix necessarily but would be useful information for someone who is looking for a quiet...

"When I first walked into the office it smelled clean and looked clean. Thats was a gear sign. Front desk was very kind. I went to my room and it smelled great. Itnlolke perfect. Im happy I stayed here. It was very cheap and better than any other place. I travel a lot. This place is a gem. I stayed at a different hotel last night and you couldnt pay me to sleep at that horrible place ever again. I will stay here every time I come to Dubuque now."

"We enjoy Hampton Inns, however this one was under construction and really torn up. I think the contractor(s) for the work could have done a much better job for the business without tearing up So much at one time. It took a bit away from our stay. "

"Definitely time for a complete renovation. The room has a bit of an off putting odor that I’m quite sure is due to the aged carpet in the room. Seems that it was probably renovated 8 to 10 years ago and is in dire need of this once again. Location is fine and staff is exceptional. Tim at the front desk was fantastic at our check-in."
