"I had a wonderful stay at Riu Plaza Chicago. Even though I live in Chicago, I wanted a nice staycation and this hotel did not disappoint. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and the staff was welcoming and professional. The breakfast was also great with a good variety of options to choose from. Overall, I had a great time and really enjoyed my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again!"

"Beautiful spacious room with a great view of the lake. The property is old so don’t expect the building to be pristine. My only issue and the only thing I would tell you to keep in mind is that it can be very loud with street noise and the walls are extremely thin. We heard the very loud people in the room next to us as if they were in our room. Other great value and we would stay there again. "

"The location is perfect for those who actually would like to sleep at night. You are not right in the hustle and bustle of things; but still very much in walking distance. Our room opened onto the courtyard. The picture on their website showed we had a "private" sitting area; but I actually had to make it by grabbing some of their pool lounge chairs and hide them with their planters . . . I made it work. The attached bar, open to the public, had some of the best live music we heard as well as some of the BEST bartenders! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful."

"Great location, can walk across street to beach and also to many restaurants and to the Pleasure pier. Room is large and love the balcony. They all look to beach. Beds were comfortable and AC worked great. It was a very nice stay. "
