"I usually do not write bad reviews. We arrived at 3 pm, the owner was clearly bothered by our presence. He wanted to retain our Ids until the next day—a no go. The room had a temperature of 35 degrees and the a/c did not work. Our complaint was answered tha a/c only is available between 6pm and 5am. The hotel is situated in what looks like a war zone. "This is a beautiful little family run hotel on a side street off a lovely shopping area in Foggia, Italy. The rooms are on the second level and there is no elevator, but they are spotlessly clean and have good air conditioning and a nice airy feeling. The beds are very comfortable and the staff was warm and friendly but only spoke Italian. I brought my 82 year old Italian mother and she adored the staff. They made us feel welcome and comfortable the entire nine days we were there. The location is very convenient to walk to the best parts of the city and the train station. The restaurant was wonderful with a good selection of breakfast foods with charcuterie, fresh fruit, a wide assortment of pastries, and many beverages. I was very satisfied with everything about this hotel and felt it was one of the best choices I made. I would stay there again anytime and I can't recommend it enough. But it is definitely a more intimate family experience than a big chain hotel."
