"The place was well looked after, but not close to town. The staff were great. Only complaint would be the breakfast was not a buffet. You had to order it the day before. This is not a reflection of the hotel but a lot of monkeys. Do not leave anything outside. My aunt had a top and make up bag stolen. They can open doors as well. Must leave your balcony door locked."

"The hotel is just out of the hussle and bustle of Kandy city - about a 15min Tuktuk ride. Perfect to see all the sights in and around Kandy and then come back and relax in peace and quiet. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the owner arranged trips and drivers in and around the Kandy area. The food is was amazing particularly Hassida's vegetable curry! "

"Dirty beds, bedsheets and bathroom. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody. Bathroom was leaking and dirty with spiders and spiderwebs. Room is like a jail, no windows. It was a horrible experience. I advise travellers to stay at Hatton and travel to Nallandeniya on time to clime Adam's peak."

"This place is truly a hidden gem, and the staff is absolutely incredible! It should be on everyone’s list when visiting Sri Lanka. The owner is wonderful; she invited my friend and me for tea, picked us up in her SUV since our tuk-tuk couldn't make it up the hill due to an earlier accident, and welcomed us warmly despite our late check-in. "This is a villa converted to a hotel. The have only 4 rooms. The description is misleading. Too expensive. Does not worth it. It should not be rated more than 1 star! The view from the room (Delox twin) is totally obstructed. It smells terrible!"

"This is a fabulous olde world style hotel full of antiques and charm. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The gardens are meticulously kept and perfect for relaxing in after sightseeing - especially with a nice cold beer from their bar, the 19th Hole Pub. This is a good old fashioned bar playing great music, serving cold beers and mixing wonderful cocktails - get Pradeep to make you a Tequila Margarita 🍸! Then dine either at your table in the bar or garden or in the formal dining room choosing from a very reasonably priced menu and have Benedict recommend rice dishes of the day and serve you with very generous portions - try the Garlic prawns 🍤 🍤 🍤 Cannot recommend this establishment highly enough, Ho there, you will not be disappointed."
