"Nice and handy, 10 minute walk to Kyoto station. Between Higashiyama Honganji and Nishi Honganji. Close to Karasuma Dori and Gojo Dori for buses and subway. Room was very nice and perfect for one or 2 people. Staff were very welcoming."

"Beautiful property designed for a good refresh. So glad I stayed here and took advantage of the bath with a garden view. Staff was extremely helpful; my credit card got frauded and I had to get a replacement. The staff was extremely helpful in navigating the postal system for me. Quiet neighbourhood near the Imperial palace with beautiful parks and a nice break from the chaos of other tourist areas."

"Very traditional and wonderful stay in Kyoto. Beautiful garden with close walk to the bus station. Staff was kind and we enjoyed the breakfast. If you want a traditional Japanese breakfast, it’s a wonderful place to try it that only improved each day we stayed. "Very traditional ryokan and very clean. The rooms were a decent size and the area was quiet. The staff offers you a book with recommendations such as dining and sight seeing attractions as well as how to get there by bus or transit. The ryokan also offers breakfast and other services for a fee, but the breakfast we had was amazing. They also have a bath you can rent for the hour which was a life saver after walking all day. "I don’t think it’s good value. The hotel has no lobby for guests to even sit to put shoes on and space at the hotel entrance is very cramped, narrow and crowded for even one person to walk through with any baggage. Owner only offered one tea bag a day for a two persons room. I will not consider coming back again in the future."
