The hotel is a grand dame, decorated for Christmas it has a charm that new smart establishments can’t re/create. The spa of steam room and sauna was great at the end of the day. "Good central location only 5-10 min walk from Interlaken West train station. Was a nice location in the suburbs and the host was very friendly and gave some good tips on where we were hiking that day. Breakfast was nice and varied, and our beds were comfortable. Somewhere to store our luggage at the property after checkout while we hiked around Interlaken prior to our departure from the nearby train station which has direct train to Zurich airport. Very good spot!"

"I can’t say enough about the friendly and responsive staff. Stunning views and charming lobby/living room area with fireplace, bar and piano. Only minor criticism is that there was no small refrigerator in the room. Front desk and Mauricio at the bar were super-nice and responsive. New cook, who owned his own hotel for 3 decades in Alsace, was excellent! "
