"What a fantastic hotel - my only moan was that it was very dark in the breakfast dog friendly area. We will definitely be back, Wilson (cocker spaniel) had a wonderful stay too, spoilt by all his treats, toys and bedding options ♥️"

"Fantastic old Rectory in a quiet country area ideal for walks along the nearby canal. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice cooked to order. Staff were helpful and friendly. Decor needs a bit of TLC but it is an old listed building."

"Mill Lodge is located in a quiet side street with pubs and food shopping nearby. Our compact accommodation was very clean, cosy, comfortable and had all we needed, with a generous supply of teas, coffee and Welsh cakes in the room. At breakfast, there was a wide choice of quality ingredients to choose from, carefully prepared and presented in impeccable style. A nice touch was the freshly squeezed orange juice. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. "

"Our hostess, Christine, was very welcoming. She was a wealth of knowledge of the local area, providing valuable information about parking options. Christine also provided suggestions for our evening meal, with her local being our choice for dinner. Breakfast was fresh and her poached eggs were awesome. Highly recommended. "

"Very clean and well equipped. Check in information good. Getting information on how to check out at 1:55 in the morning was less than helpful as it woke us up. We have to leave some alerts on as husband receives medical alerts overnight. It may not be a problem for those who can switch a do not disturb on. "Have stayed here before and would happily return. Staff are really helpful and friendly, and the food- we had breakfast and dinner - is tasty and plentiful. The whole place is clean and well-looked after and almost feels out of place in a town as run down as Blaenavon. We love the sauna, a bit of a treat after a long day out. "The hotel exceeded our expectations, we didn't expect 4-5 star service from the budget hotel with such low price, and we read through the previous reviews, so we really expected an old traditional place rather than modern network hotels. "A beautiful converted train wagon nestled in the Welsh countryside. Very well put together with most amenities available. Very comfy bed - small but well sized for a intimate break together. "A modern, very well furnished room/flat in a beautiful, quiet location. Immaculately presented and clean. Walkable to a very good local, friendly pub (The Chainbridge Inn) (0.9 mile) and even closer to a nearby restaurant. The hosts were welcoming and provided an easy contactless check in. Excellent."
