"Very friendly staff. Rooms were small but comfortable and very clean. Good breakfast. No evening meal but plenty of good options (including discounted meal at sister hotel) close by with a short, walk into town past the the cathedral and river. Was noisy when we visited because of a wedding in the function room but the area seems quiet overall so I imagine it would be peaceful during the week or when there was no weekend function taking place. Good value. Would stay again."

"Lovely quiet old school hotel, creaky flooboards and uneven corridors from a building of it age and time. Lovely spacious room, although bathroom was a little tight for some tall and in need of a diet...ie me. Bed and pillows lovely and soft, and super warm."

"Stayed in the log style cabins. Lovely place to stay. Clean and tidy. Quiet and tranquil with lovely surroundings. I was very impressed with the accommodation and grounds. There is limited parking. We had a dedicated parking spot for our cabin and someone on the 2nd night decided to park their car there for the last few nights of our stay. I asked receiption twice to get it moved and nothing was done. I had to park down the road which was annoying. Also the silicone in both bathrooms was...

"Stayed overnight while attending a concert in St Editha's church nearby. Room was very comfortable, well designed and just what we needed. The bar is welcoming and the breakfast was fab. Great central location and we would highly recommend."

"Excellent concept. Staffless hotel but the rooms were clean and modern and fresh, access was easy, the area felt safe. I wish I’d come up with the idea of buying pubs and turning them into this type of hotel, it’s great. Although I didn’t see the owner or manager, he was available by WhatsApp, text and phone if required. "
