"Great location. Easy walk to train/bus. Cool medieval/castle property. Nicely furnished. Small but comfortable room. Ensuite bathroom very nice and all immaculately clean. Host/owner is very friendly. I ordered the light breakfast which was excellent in a beautiful dining room. There is also a very pretty back courtyard. I was able to store luggage for the day."

"The downstairs public area of the hotel (the lobby, bar and restaurant) is modern and very nicely decorated but once you get beyond to the corridors and bedrooms the furniture and furnishings show their age and clearly need some updating. Our room had worn/torn carpets with exposed gripper strips around the edge, peeling faux leather bed base and the body wash in the ensuite was empty. "Enjoyed our 2 night stay at Marsden's. Spacious room, very clean & comfortable. Good shower, plenty hot water. Coffee, tea provided in the room. Our meal at Marsden's restaurant was excellent. Friendly, helpful staff ensured our visit was comfortable. Good access to buses which we used to & from Stirling. Nice quiet location close to motorway. "
