"Enjoyed our one night stay here. Booked one hour private onsen and thoroughly enjoyed the privacy and waterfall scene. Also did the public onsen and enjoyed it as well. Yukata clothing and towels are provided. Excellent service and a sense of luxury even though the hotel itself is dated. Good breakfast."

Older property but well maintained and room has all the amenities you’ll need (tea, kettle, mini-fridge, slippers, toothbrush + paste, comb, q-tips, etc.). "The lodge was absolutely wonderful. We honestly had not slept as well as we did at the lodge anywhere else in Japan. Not sure if it was the mountain air, the onsen, or the large rooms that allowed us to settle in and spread out. The hospitality was incredible; the hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home, including by providing a bountiful breakfast each morning. My husband and I wish we could have stayed there our entire trip!"

"There are a lot of clutter in the hotel lobby, which makes it feel messy. The hotel looks a bit old, though it is clean. I arrived at the hotel after 10 o'clock at night. When I entered the door, I couldn't see the check-in counter. I went to a counter on the right. There was a card showing “ 百名湯認定証 ”, and add water room “加湯室” was behind the counter. I was about to search everywhere I could in the hotel, when suddenly I saw a man at the far end of the left side, so I chased after him and asked if he was a hotel staff. It turned out that the checkin counter was on the left, and I turned the wrong direction and went to the right. I was indeed frightened at that time when I couldn’t see anybody. Checkin was smooth with the help of the staff. If I haven’t been to the wrong direction, everything would be fine. The breakfast is delicious, and it is a semi-self-service style. Milk, rice, miso soup, bread, tea, etc. are all available for self-service. The mountain view from the restaurant is great."
