"Wonderful views from this hilltop hotel, but it's a long, steep walk back from the beaches! We took the hotel bus down to the beach and walked back after spending some time at the port. It's isolated, but there's a free bus from/to Toyohashi Station. The breakfast and dinner buffets are great, and much of the hotel has been recently renovated. Unfortunately they have changed the afternoon times for the onsen so that women have access to their part at 3pm but men from 5pm, which we found...

"This is a hidden gem that I literally stumbled upon. This area is famous for agriculture so the food was sourced locally and amazing. The staff is international so even if you don't speak much Japanese you will be fine. It is peaceful and fun to walk around the area. "Nice resort. Bikes for use. Lovely hot spa. Pool wasnt opened. We visited in off season so only the buffet restaurant open. Would have liked just a drink and a snack. Im sure plenty available during peak season. Nothing else in the area. Walked on the beach. A lot of rubbish had washed up from the sea. Overall a bit disappointing."

"What I loved about this hotel was that, unlike other Japanese hotels, the rooms were big, and easy to move around in. Most Japanese Hotel rooms are basically closets with a bed. Which meant although we booked for an infant and requested a cot, the hotel did not provide one and the room was too small for our travel cot. We also contacted them by email after stay when we left something in the room the hotel but again no response to emails in English and Japanese to arrange for us to retrieve it."
