"The hotel exceeded my expectations. They have done an excellent job of providing comfortable rooms while maintaining the character of the prison. The double cell room I had was a large room with a comfortable bed and with ample storage for a suitcase. The breakfast was excellent with the hot items cooked fresh to order."

"Stayed one night for a short break, it was very comfortable and so clean. The staff were very helpful at storing luggage for us and very friendly and polite. Very central for everything in Oxford but room was still nice and quiet. Would definitely recommend and stay again. "

"This is a beautiful hotel and the room was also lovely unfortunately our tv had suddenly had no signal and we could not watch the movie we started to watch when we came back to the room late or the morning news as it was still not working. Reported to the reception who apologised but this was not up to the standard as it should be for stunning hotel like this. "
