The place is beautifully decorated with everything you might need even an iron hair dryer. I am very sensitive to scented items and there are no harsh chemicals or scents. Even the soaps and lotions she provides are not overly scented. I was surprised to learn there was a cleaning fee but it’s only $25 which seems fair. "Fantastic clean property. I travel a great deal for business, but this was trip was for fun, and I could not have been more than happy with the Alfond. Rooms and common area were fresh and clean. Staff were beyond friendly and accommodating. Easy walk to tons of restaurant options on Park Ave just 2- 5 minutes away. The hotel gym was one of the best I have seen. "

"The rumors are true: this place does charming in all the right ways. Everyone at the front desk/door is super nice, the wood & brass-ness is perfectly aged, room was a nice size for 2 (might've been hard to get serious work done without the other person hearing everything, but that's the way it is with old architecture). (It's also so perfectly located and reasonably priced that it would have to be really bad to *not* start from 3.5 stars for those two points alone. But it outdoes itself.)"
