"A very nice hotel with friendly staff. The room was good size and appointed well. The restaurant onsite is closed but we found good choices nearby (highly recommend Angus & Bon). The location seems a bit far from downtown, but you can catch the train nearby and it's a quick and inexpensive ride back and forth. We liked the hotel, but if we returned we would probably stay closer to downtown."

"Sam provides a really good offering for the ex back packers who don't want the price or fussiness of a hotel. A great pub with a varied customer base, always busy and has very pleasant helpful staff. Showers and kitchen serviced regularly by cleaning staff. Beds comfortable, nice towels and tea/coffee, kettle in the room. Washing and drying facilities a real plus."

"It is a beautiful old home, full of character. Needs some carpet upgrading in main house. Very clean. Outdoor settings in my room needed to be cleaned, but everything else was spotless. Refridgeratir needs go be defrosted. The manager Alex was marvelous. He took great care of me & was very helpful. I would stay there again. Thank you Alex i really appreciated your care during my stay.. kind regards Rita McNamara "
