"Let's be honest Rotorua stinks...a sulphur lake would do that, and you get used to it. The hotel is lovely. Most activities in town are for adrenaline junkies but I recommend the Polynesian spa and Te Pa Tu - you get to see kiwis! "

"This is the second time I’ve stayed here and it’s been good. The room we booked was perfect area was good but we didn’t have hot water in our room for the few days we stayed there which was a bummer."

"Quiet and central location within walking distance to grocery stores and Polynesian spas. Staff is super friendly and the room comes with everything we need including a small kitchen, utensils, hot water boiling kettle and washing machines. The only improvements we would recommend is to add some paper towels and easy to use salt and pepper. "

"Pool needs a repaint. Mattress due replacement as starting to collapse on one side. Incomplete refurbishing of the room, old water damage on cupboard still evident. Room however spotless and spacious. Staff helpful and friendly. "

"Due to some issue with the natural hot water supply for the mineral pool, it was out of action for our stay . The managing staff more than made up for that with generous offers of vouchers to the aquatic center and dinner vouchers at a fine Irish pub .. all that and chocolate fish to welcome us .. legends ! "Regents was in a good location. Easy walk to many dining facilities. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good value for cost even if a little higher than many competing properties. Rooms were large and comfortable . We faced the pool and it was very quiet. Having a coffee maker vs instant coffee is an upgrade that should be implemented "

"Motel was easy to find with parking. Checkin was easy and quick. Room was very clean but not updated, which is fine, but know what you're getting. Personally as long as it's clean I am good, and it was. The only thing less than comfortable was how quick we ran out of hot water in the shower. My husband and I couldn't shower back to back without the second person quickly running out of hot water - even trying to take quick ones."

"This is a very pretty, instagram able hotel. It is clean and the staff was very nice. The reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that the rooms do not have a deadbolt, chain, or other way for someone inside the room to lock the room so that a hotel employee with a key cannot enter. This is a dealbreaker for me - I would not have stayed here if I had known. The reason is that years ago in another country a hotel employee entered my room with a key and assaulted me. I honestly thought it was...
