"Great location to the National Park for the red desert sand dunes. The Oasis room is great food was excellent and the staff were wonderful, WiFi is ver spotty and is only in the pool bar and reception area. Otherwise felt like a king for the 3 nights."

"All the staff here are exceptional ( friendly and very helpful). Food in the evening meal differed each night and was fantastic local fare. Yvonne the manager went far beyond and out of her way to make us feel welcome and helped us sort out our broken down vehicle. We will absolutely stay here again and highly recommend thos fortuitous find. Campsites also look good with shade power and water."

"The Elegant Desert Camp has beautiful grounds, including an amazingly isolated feeling desert camp. However, in the summer months, the heat in these luxurious tents is almost unbearable (it easily exceeds 40C/104F during the day) and there are no fans, let alone air conditioners. While temperatures do drop overnight, they remain above 27C/80F for most of it. Fans would help. Beautiful lodge with friendly, helpful staff.

"A lovely two night stay, which included a sunset drive and a full day out in the desert which was made very interesting, fun and pleasant by Enos, who was extremely knowledgeable about the environment. On both occasions, we had tables set with white cloths, chairs, good cutlery and crockery and we sat on comfortable chairs, all of which were set out on kilims. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The only thing that would prevent us from returning was the road from Swakopmund to the Lodge, which is no fault of the lodge. If you can, fly in!"
