"Tokyu Hotel is a known hotel chain in Japan. The hotel was an older property. The outside hot bath was nice with ocean view and breakfast buffet was nice with many options. The overall property was well maintained. Staff was courteous."

"We paid a good price for this hotel during golden week and it was much more affordable than other options. The property is well located right in front of the tombolo and less than a 10 minute walk to the local shop/restaurants so we were pleased. There’s a public onsen at the hotel which is the main attraction but we opted to pay 3000 yen for 45 minutes in the private onsen which was nice. "The location & private onsen were the only positives to this hotel stay. The area is beautiful and fun to explore if you rent a bike for the day! This hotel however was dirty & uncomfortable. Prepare yourself for stairs because there are no elevators. The room we stayed in had mold behind the tub (the tub was not sealed so the wall behind was getting wet). The shower curtain was moldy. "Great place for families visiting Shimoda and Izu Peninsula. Definitely a hotel catering to Japanese tourists, but with a little Japanese and respect the staff is very friendly and works with you. Some of the staff spoke some English. Bathhouse, arcade, and hotel amenities were great. Walking distance to everything downtown and easy spot to drive to other locations. Would definitely stay here again with family on vacation. "

"I like place.it is convient,7/11 and drug store is near.you walk along beach.the air is fresh.the staff is very friendly.the room is clean texcept bathroom,it is clean but they have to clean the molds in the bathroom and there are no slipper in the roon.But the place is very good i will return and recommend to my friends"
