Stroll around this tranquil square during the week and appreciate the setting’s serenity. Relax with your friends at a café table with a hot drink or meal and watch people going by. Find a place to sit near the enchanting bandstand.
Plenty of benches in the shade of trees adorn the sections of vegetation in the heart of the plaza. Explore the various shops that line the square. See the government building for the City Secretary of Social Work and Income Development in the southeastern corner.
On summer weekends, a craft fair takes over the square, with white stalls displaying all types of trinkets and gems. Inspect the jewelry and locally made handicrafts for sale and chat with the friendly vendors for a glimpse of Búzios’ culture and customs. Stay at the market into the evening and frequent some of the bars surrounding the square. Find a range of hostels, inns and hotels around the edge of the piazza.
