" Ok, there is both good and bad with this Hotel. Let's start out with the good. The price was good. The room was clean. The room looked nice. The décor was nice. The view from the Balcony in my room was nice, but the view really depended on the weather. if the weather was bad, you could not see the mountains and were just stuck seeing other buildings It had hot water and decent water pressure. "We had a wonderful time at No. 5 from beginning to end. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and modern whilst being right in nature. We were very well looked after by the staff especially Frankie who went above and beyond every day even helping us organise trips and buy tickets and driving us to the entrance of the national park. He was even on hand over Alipay chat to answer questions we had whilst on day trips. Frankie’s dog was also very sweet and warmly greeted us whenever she saw us :)...

"This is one of the better located hotels, and the price was very reasonable. The beds were too hard, but other than that it was perfect for what we needed. The manager was very helpful in recommending our visit to the park."

"We stayed at this hotel for one night. The location is perfect for exploring Zhangjiajie national scenic park. It’s a 5 minute walk to restaurants, 10 min drive to the park entrance, and the staff were so lovely. They provided a map of the park and explained all that there is to do in that area. They also picked me up from the train station promptly and to/from the main entrance to the park the following day. The breakfast was also amazing! "

"My room was on 3rd floor and there is no elevator . On Expedia hotel says they are only 15 mins away but they are actually 45 mins away . Wrong address on Expedia . Hard to find taxi to get there . WiFi doesn’t work . No options for food at all at hotel or around it . "

"It was the most frustrating hotel for years of my experience. Which is 50 countries, 180 cities, over 300 hotels. No telephone, iron, TV set in the room. It is very cold in the whole motel. Only two rooms were occupied inc ours. Cheapest sleepers one can imagine. Meal was better in chinese university, where i studied 30 years ago. Dead bird and cigarettes at balcony. Extremely cold in bathroom and no privacy from living room. Pictures on Hotels.com are nice and starring high but in reality it is...

"I got this hotel for its location for a few things I wanted to do and that was great. The room was big and comfortable but the downside for me was no mini fridge in the room and the AC wasn’t working. There are a lot of elevators, a few of them I started avoiding bc they would jolt a lot and make lots of noises which made me nervous. All the elevators were really dirty. Not exactly a dealbreaker but for the price tag, there were better expectations."

"This is a very good B&B. You can taste the local specialties, and the housekeeper is very attentive and considerate. The environment of the B&B is very beautiful. You can see the whole mountain view from the room, and there are many cats and dogs, which are very cute. Highly recommended!"

"Super helpful hosts with very good English. Shared excellent recommendations for visiting zhangjiajie, Tianmenshan, and local food options. Even helped me get a car when my didi wouldn’t work! Cute night market outside and not far from train station and cable cars. Note the google maps location is wrong, it’s on the other side of the river, more north. Airport pickup was super helpful. Highly recommend. "

"We visited the hotel in off season so we have to expect that it is not up to full operation. I believe we were on two guests in this 900 plus room resort. The assistant manager was so helpful to us with researching things to do and places to eat in the area which made things much easier. The rooms were big and comfortable so no complaints there. I took advantage of the inexpensive in-house massages. Easy to get around using Didi. Would probably stay here again. "
