"The AC didn’t work on arrival so we reported it. On return that eve they said fixed. It wasn’t but we gave benefit of the doubt a persevered. At 1.30am we moved rooms and all our stuff. Very inconvenient but night staff were excellent and refunded partial room rate for that night which we thought was fair. Just a shame it wasn’t dealt with upon first report. Maintenance cannot have checked properly. However, apart from this which was rectified without quibble the stay was good. Friendly staff,...

"We were going to the Lowry Theatre to see a show, this hotel was the ideal location for a one night stay. The room was comfortable and clean. The surrounding area was quiet. There are a number of places to choose to eat near The Lowry and the Holiday Inn Express. An enjoyable stay."

"Booked as a cheap option while working in Manchester for a couple of nights and didn’t expect too much (although review ratings were pretty good). Hotel was clean, quiet and staff were very helpful and friendly. If you’re looking for upmarket then it’s not for you but if you want somewhere comfortable to sleep then it’s perfect! 10 minutes to the convention centre and a fraction of the cost of hotels in the area."
