"Aesthetically absolutely beautifully designed interior, however not so functional. We stayed over the new year so it was cold/dry weather so we wish they had humidifiers. The beds are extremely comfortable unlike the beds at the major hotels so we were able to get rest well to recover from 13 hours flight. Unfortunately unlike other guests, we didn't get response from the owner quickly. We got a response 3 days after we checked out which was not a big deal anyway. "

"The Annex is way better than the other one which is older and has gone downhill. This one is beautiful in a Japanese retro and romantic way fitting to Hakodate. Plenty of yeasts and snack services, 3 private baths besides the big bathing areas, fabulous breakfast with fresh everything, even bubbly and sake!! Our room was spacious (premium deluxe) and many thoughtful touches and amenities. We had the dinner plan too. The first night included all you can eat made to order sushi and wagyu shabu...
